St. Anthony's finished second at the Union-Endicott Duals in upstate Endciott, losing, 32-30, to Shenendehowa in yesterday's final.
The Friars advanced to the finals with a win over Suffolk powerhouse Glenn in their morning semifinal matchup.
But in the deciding match in the finals, Shenendehowa's Jimmy Carucci beat Michael Gangarossa in a 10-5 decision at 145 pounds.
Earlier in the match, the Friars' Matthew Szilaygi won a 10-7 decision over Dan Duffy at 152, Joseph Guarino took a 14-4 major decision from Mike Orabona at 160, and at 171, Dariyan Reilly needed only 1 minute, 42 seconds to pin Levi Ashley for the victory.
The Friars won the first four matches to build a 17-0 lead but lost three of the next four.
Elsewhere at the Union-Endicott Duals, Sayville defeated MacArthur, 40-28, in the semifinals of a pool consolation match. Justin Siracusa led the Golden Flashes with a 4-3 double-overtime win against Anthony Boccasini.
Despite their loss to the Friars, Glenn finished fourth overall.
Brentwood lost in pool play to upstate Spencerport but went 4-1 to finish fifth in the tournament. Alexis Blanco went 5-0 over the two-day tourney at 140 pounds.
The Indians rebounded from a League I loss to Longwood on Friday. "We were real pleased with the way the kids wrestled, especially after Friday night," coach Ralph Napolitano said.
"To wake up at four in the morning on Saturday, I thought the kids performed real well considering the facts."
So, after a disappointing Friday, the future looks brighter for one of Suffolk's elite squads.
Napolitano said the team's 4-1 mark at the meet "is a good weekend for any team."
