The Rangers re-signed defenseman Michael Sauer and forward Artem Anisimov to two-year deals Friday, whittling the team's list of unsigned players down to three.
Sauer will avoid arbitration after signing a two-year pact that, a source confirmed, is worth $2.5 million. Anisimov's two-year deal is worth $3.75 million, his agent Mark Gandler confirmed.
The 23-year-old Sauer was among a group of four players on the Rangers' roster to file for arbitration Tuesday. Brandon Dubinsky, Brian Boyle and Ryan Callahan have arbitration dates later this month.
Sauer nearly tripled his $500,000 salary from last season when he finished with three goals, 12 assists and a team-leading plus-20 rating.
Anisimov, 23, also received a sizable pay bump with a new contract worth $1.875 million per year. The Russian forward earned $765,000 last season and had 18 goals and 26 assists in 82 games. Anisimov, who was coming off his entry-level deal, did not have arbitration rights.
