Best bet: AL'S ROCKET (8)

Best value: NO PAYNE (3)

FIRST: Full Coverage is from a dam whose only other foal to race was a winner on turf. Reckoning Force was a useful fourth in debut; dangerous with experience edge. I'm Very Busy makes first start for Chad Brown; you know the drill.

SECOND: Cold as Hell drops and returns to dirt; forward move predicted. Mount Athos was a fast-figured second in last; could easily take this. Charger could be in the garden spot if pace meltdown ensues.

THIRD: No Payne logged only win on Spa sod; rested and ready. Cadencia is effective from on or just off the pace; worth long look. Take the Backroads will be favorably positioned near the front; must consider.

FOURTH: Super Chow has worked swiftly since front-running score in debut at GP; pulls off upset in Saratoga Special.  Gulfport has won his two races by a combined 19 lengths; obviously could take another. Damon's Mound crushed 10 rivals when winning debut at CD by 12 lengths; right in the thick of this.

FIFTH: Tosconova Beauty ships south after winning three of last four at Finger Lakes; ready for the big leagues. Captainsdaughter should pack enhanced kick with cutback to 7 furlongs. Early Edition owns competitive numbers on best efforts.

SIXTH: Me 'n Sap withstood wicked fractions when an ultragame second in last; more to give. Street Culture is rested and makes first grass start for Linda Rice; worth long look. Sheriff Bianco, an uncoupled barn mate of Street Culture, holds razor-sharp current condition.

SEVENTH: Read On noticeably picked up the tempo in final workout; ready at first asking. Bourbon Bash was a clear-cut second behind a much-the-best winner in debut; obvious threat. General Jim was purchased for $850K as a yearling; could be the goods.

EIGHTH: Al's Rocket rocketed through a :22.1 final quarter when breaking maiden in June at Belmont; pairs up. Capone owns speed and has turf bloodlines on both sides of pedigree. Portfolio Company is a fresh and sharply working from the Chad Brown barn; be no surprise.

NINTH: Citizen Mack was a sharp second after wide trip in last; added furlong plays to strength. Southern Flag is favorably posted in bulky field; big-time player. Pletcher entry: Unlimitedpotential and Expressman are newcomers that burned up the track when working in company in half-mile bullet on Aug. 6; unlimitedpotential?

10TH: Regal Glory owns fast figures and has won 12 of 19 for Chad Brown; is it really that easy? Get Smokin can smoke 'em on the lead if able to secure a soft lead. Masen, another Brown runner, has won all three stateside starts; another unplayable turf stakes.

11TH: Empire Ridge will have to be gunned from the gate, but could secure front-tier position in weak nightcap. Calloway Peak makes third start of form cycle after improved fourth in last; very interesting. Growth Mindset has been gelded and gets Lasix for first start since October debut; improvement expected. Strike Price displayed speed in two turf starts this past spring; price will be tempting.
