The former Yankee and new “Sunday Night Baseball” analyst for ESPN will host a CNBC primetime special “Back in the Game,” premiering next Tuesday at 10 p.m.
The one-hour program, produced by former Giants star Michael Strahan, features A-Rod coming in to help Joe Smith, who was selected No. 1 overall by the Warriors in the 1995 NBA draft, as he tries to regain financial stability after losing nearly all of the $61 million-plus that he made during his 16-year career.
Rodriguez also will appear at a SXSW session called “Alex Rodriguez: Baseball, Business & Redemption with CNBC,” next Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Austin Convention Center.
