Gary Cohen to remain as SNY’s Mets play-by-play announcer
Gary Cohen has agreed to a multi-year deal to remain the play-by-play announcer for the Mets on SNY, the network confirmed on Tuesday.
Cohen, 58, has been a Mets broadcaster since 1989 when he called games on radio. He is the only Mets play-by-play voice in SNY history.
Cohen, a Queens native, will be paired with longtime boothmates Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling for the 2017 season. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
