Jake Eisenberg will join Wayne Randazzo in calling some Mets games on WCBS-AM this season as a fill-in for Howie Rose, Eisenberg tweeted on Monday.

Rose will skip up to 30 games this season, mostly road games in the West, after having undergone major surgery last summer and missing the last month of the 2021 season.

The Mets were looking for a young announcer to fill in and tabbed Eisenberg, a 2017 University of Maryland graduate who also is a graduate of Paul D. Schreiber High School in Port Washington. The New York Post first reported the hiring of Eisenberg, who currently is the play-by-play announcer for Triple-A Omaha, the Royals' top affiliate.
