ESPN announced its current "Sunday Night Baseball" team of Dan Shulman, John Kruk and Jessica Mendoza will call the American League wild-card game Tuesday, making Mendoza the first female analyst to a work a Major League Baseball playoff game on national TV.
The Yankees likely will host the game against the Astros or Angels.
Mendoza joined the Sunday night booth in late August in place of Curt Schilling, who was removed from the telecast after a tweet in which he compared Muslims to Nazis.
