The Mets are getting one of their key guys back!
Keith Hernandez is expected to return to the SNY booth on May 4 in Colorado when the Mets start a series against the Rockies, the network confirmed.
Hernandez, 72, is recovering from April 14 back surgery. He missed five games earlier this season because of his back, returned, and then underwent surgery to ease the pain.
Hernandez is in the first year of a three-year contract that reduced his scheduled games from 110 to about 95.
