Mike and the Mad Dog are up for the Hall of Fame — and fans will decide if they’re in.

Mike Francesa and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, who hosted WFAN’s popular afternoon drive program for 19 years, have been nominated for the National Radio Hall of Fame. The duo is in the “Spoken Word On-Air Personality” category, which is determined by a fan vote.

Fans can text “Mike & the Mad Dog”, “Mike” or “Chris” to 36500 to vote (only one vote per device). Voting closes June 30, and the winners will be announced July 11.

Francesa and Russo split up in 2008, but the two have been partnering on more events together in recent months, including a reunion show for charity in March and a forthcoming “30 for 30” documentary on ESPN. Francesa still is on WFAN through the end of 2017, while Russo hosts his own show on SiriusXM.
