NBC crushes fallen 'Idol'
Great news for NBC, awful news for opponents of tape-delayed Olympics results:
NBC demolished "American Idol," 30.1 million viewers to 18.4 million, during the 9 o'clock hour Wednesday, ending a six-year winning streak for "Idol" against head-to-head competition.
The Olympics averaged 17.0 percent of homes compared to 10.4 for "Idol."
And what did NBC primarily spend that hour showing? Tape-delayed skiing.
Case closed.
I have to write two columns for the Friday paper. Bye.
