It was an entertaining NCAA Tournament but there is one good thing about it being over: No more emails about ratings from my friends at CBS and Turner p.r.

The problem with much of this stuff this season is it is apples to oranges, what with the tournament appearing on four different channels in the early rounds.

Anyway, here goes:

The tournament was the most-watched since 2005, averaging 10.2 million viewers, and the highest-rated since 2005, averaging 6.4 percent of homes.

Monday night's championship game averaged 11.7 percent of homes and 20.1 million viewers, both of which were down from last year, when the game was good as opposed to being historically stinky.
