Packers-Cowboys sets divisional round viewership record

The Packers’ 34-31 victory over the Cowboys Sunday on Fox averaged 48.5 million viewers, the highest such figure on record for an NFL divisional-round playoff.
The game peaked at 62.4 million viewers during the frantic final minutes.
The previous high for a divisional-round game had been 45.1 million for the Giants’ upset of the Packers in 2012.
Next on the list are 44.4 million for Cowboys-Packers in 2015 and 43.5 million for Jets-Patriots in 2011.
Sunday’s game averaged 55 percent of homes in the Milwaukee area. In Dallas, it averaged 46.6 percent.
The Steelers’ 18-16 victory over the Chiefs on NBC Sunday night averaged 37.1 million viewers.
