Prominent TV critic goes online
Friday I hung out at the after-party for the world premiere of Ice Cube's "Straight Outta L.A." with Alan Sepinwall - the best non-Newsday TV critic in America, most famous as the world's most insightful "Sopranos" analyst. (Now he works his magic on "Mad Men," "Lost" and other shows.)
I thought we were bonding. But he never mentioned this.
Turns out Mr. Sepinwall is leaving his long-time print home at The Star-Ledger of Newark for some sort of online site, smartly leveraging the personal brand he has developed thanks to his widely read blog.
Sigh.
