SNY hires a new Jets reporter

Jeane Coakley, most recently of WISH-TV in Indianapolis, has joined SNY to serve in a variety of roles, including lead Jets reporter.

That job had been filled the past four years by Steve Overmyer, whose contract was not renewed.

Overmyer seemed like a thoroughly competent fellow, so not sure why there was a need for a change.

But if there's one thing I've learned from five years on the TV beat it's that I don't understand TV.
