Football movies do not enjoy the place in film history that boxing and baseball vehicles do, but they have had their moments, and if ever there was a weekend to catch up on the classics, it is this one.

With that in mind, here is a top five list courtesy of Redbox.com, in which it surveyed nearly a thousand “highly engaged customers” and asked them to name their favorite football movie.

The list:

Presumably “Brian’s Song” does not count because it was a TV movie and you have to be over 55 to remember it, but overall this is a solid list, and certainly one that reflects box office popularity.

The five include three of the top four football moneymakers of all time (not adjusted for inflation) and four of the top 10, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com.
