Tracy Burgess bids WFAN adieu
Congrats to LI's own Tracy Burgess on her eight-year morning drive time run at WFAN, which ended Friday morning.
Burgess originally was hired as Charles McCord's news writer/fill-in anchor on Don Imus' old show. Most recently she has been the traffic and weather reporter for Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton.
She said leaving was her decision.
"[Operations manager] Mark Chernoff has made my tenure at WFAN one of the best professional experiences of my 32 years in this business," she told me in a Facebook message.
"While the Imus show and Boomer/Carton are very different shows, both have been a pleasure to have been part of and I hold both in the utmost of high regard."
