Upsets upset ratings for CBS

Early round upsets in the NCAA Tournament always are a mixed blessing at best for CBS.

On one hand, they generate excitement and interest. On the other, no matter how much you say you love the likes of Saint Mary's and Northern Iowa, the reality is brand name teams such as Villanova and Kansas draw better ratings in the Sweet 16.

Speaking of NCAA upsets, enjoy the Cornell-Wisconsin game at 2:50 p.m. on CBS.

And, of course, Cornell vs. Minnesota-Duluth at 1 p.m. on CBS College Sports for the NCAA women's hockey championship.
