Vin Scully hospitalized after fall, but doing well
Dodgers announcer Vin Scully, 82, was hospitalized after falling and bumping his head, but he is said to be doing well and will be back at work shortly.
That's good news, obviously.
Speaking of iconic announcers still at it deep into customary retirement age, it was great to hear CBS' Dick Enberg, 75, still sharp and still offering a timely "oh, my" at 12:25 a.m. Friday morning as the Wake Forest-Texas game - his fourth of the day and night - came to a climax in overtime.
