WFAN maintained its ratings leads over ESPN New York in the spring quarter, covering March 26 through June 17.
That included a second-place finish in morning drive time with 6.4 percent of men ages 25-54 for Craig Carton and Boomer Esiason, compared with 13th place at 3.0 percent for ESPN's national "Mike and Mike" show.
Mike Francesa finished fourth from 3 to 7 p.m. at 6.0, compared with 11th for ESPN's Michael Kay at 3.7. Francesa had ranked ninth in an unusually weak April before rallying in May and June.
For the entire length of his 1 to 6:30 p.m. show, Francesa ranked fifth at 6.1 compared to 13th for ESPN at 3.0. ESPN again was hurt by soft ratings for Mike Lupica from 1 to 3 p.m., hours in which Francesa beat him, 6.3 to 1.8.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts of WFAN finished sixth at 4.8 compared to 17th and 2.0 for ESPN.
