What does the world's greatest mixed martial artist do to prepare in the hours leading up to a fight? This is what. Anderson Silva knocked out Forrest Griffin in the first round at UFC 101. (Aug. 8, 2009) Credit: UFC Photo

I purposely chose the thumbnail on the Anderson Silva UFC 117 pre-fight video embedded below because, well, it pretty much sums up his thoughts on Chael Sonnen. Plus, it's funny.

Sonnen has gone out of his way to hammer Silva, who in turn, hasn't said too much. Which is fine seeing how Silva is the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world.

If you recall what Silva did to Demian Maia at UFC 112 because he believed Maia "disrespected" him, can you imagine what he'll do to Sonnen? Of course, Silva is also stuck in a position where he has to fight and perform at a certain level given those antics last April. Fans, Maia, Sonnen and UFC president Dana White were all furious at Silva's shenanigans.

Which Silva shows up at UFC 117 on Aug. 7 in Oakland? I'll guess the Silva that floored Forrest Griffin three times in under five minutes at UFC 101.
