If you happen to be staying in the same hotel as UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez this week in Houston, please look both ways before merging into the hallway. You just might see 240 pounds of man flying toward you at full steam.

(Not double-checking if the coast is clear would be akin to letting Bald Bull knock out Little Mac with his bull charge in "Mike Tyson's Punch-Out" just for the fun of it.)

Velasquez, who defends his title against Junior Dos Santos at UFC 166 on Saturday, has a particular thing he likes to do before each fight.

“Right before I head out to the arena, I like to get a couple sprints, a few really hard sprints to open my lungs," Velasquez said.

A little cardio couldn't hurt, right? Well, that depends on the hotel guest's geography at that particular moment.

“Whether I find a fitness center, or just the hotel," Velasquez said. "I’ve done it down the hallway, where i’ve just done sprints, just boom, boom, boom, boom, down the hallway. I have security there just to make sure no one opens their doors.”
