Spain No. 1 in latest rankings; U.S. up to 13th

 As expected, Spain moved ahead of Brazil in FIFA's latest rankings after its historic World Cup win last weekend.

The Spanish are No. 1, followed by the Dutch runner-ups at No. 2.

The United States, which advanced to the Round of 16 before falling to Ghana in extra time, moved up one spot to No. 13. Brazil, which had been ranked No. 1 heading into the tournament, slipped to third. Uruguay jumped 10 spots to sixth after its unexpected run to the semifinals.

The biggest jump in the rankings came from the Kiwis, who jumped 23 spots to 54th. New Zealand was the only World Cup team to finish undefeated (0 wins, 0 losses, 3 draws). Among World Cup teams, France and Cameroon were hit the hardest by dropping 12 and 21 spots, respectively.
