Here's the highlight's of Venus Williams' press conference tonight with my my editorial comment.

Question: What was it like to have yoru sister in the stands?

What Venus said: "It was good to see her tonight. Usually we're at a toutnament together. This year is an exception, but it's always good to have her back.:

What Venus should have said:  "It's much better having her in the stands than on the other side of the net from me, because now I might have a chance of winning this thing.

Question: Do you feel like you're where you want ot be, considering your lack of preparation?

What Venus said: "Absolutely, I'm in the ffourth round. That's the place to be at at this moment."

What Venus should have said: "Duh. Where else would I want to be?"

Question: At this point are there any lingering thoughs of shaking of rust?

What Venus said:: "Right now, I'm just trying to play ythe best I can. So there's really no thought at all other than really tryin to perform the best i can every time."
 

What she should have said: Exactly what she said.

Question: Did you design Serena's red dress?

What Venus said: "The red dress? No, I can't take credit for everything. i can take credit fr the EleVen designs. That's it."

What she should have said: "I just played and won a tennis match wearing a short black mini-dress with sparkles on it, and you want to talk about what my sister was wearing?"
