Jeremih charged with disorderly conduct at Newark airport

Port Authority police arrested R&B crooner Jeremih and two members of his traveling party Friday at Newark Liberty International Airport after one of the group opened a jetway door to allow the late-arriving singer and another man to board a plane.
Police told NJ.com and WNBC/4 that Jeremih, born Jeremih Felton, 27, attempted to make an unauthorized entry onto a US Airways flight to Phoenix, Arizona, about 1:35 p.m. The "Birthday Sex" and "Don't Tell 'Em" singer and one of his musicians, Adam Woods, 27, were charged with obstruction and disorderly conduct. Dontate Cunningham, 26, who allegedly held open the door, was charged with defiant trespass. All three were released after several hours.
Sunday, in his first tweet since the incident, Jeremih wrote, "No matter how hard they tried, I'm still here."
The singer, who is co-headlining the "Set It Off" tour with rapper French Montana, performed in Manhattan at the Best Buy Theater in Greenwich Village on Tuesday. "NYC sold out last night thank you!" he captioned a photo posted on Instagram the next day.
After a scheduled Dec. 10 date in Washington, D.C., Jeremih was leaving the tour until Dec. 20. Rolling Stone said that on the day he was arrested, he had been set to perform at the B95 Fresno Holiday Jam alongside Wiz Khalifa, E-40, T-Pain and others.
On Nov. 5, Jeremih and his entourage caused a reported $700 worth of damage to a Fuddruckers restaurant in Billings, Montana. Local police told the Montana Television Network that when the manager asked them to stop flirting with a 17-year-old female employee, the group began throwing beer bottles. Police were unable to respond for an hour, by which time the group had left.
