Miley Cyrus' latest music video has been panned by a television watchdog group.
According to TMZ.com, the Parents Television Council told the website that the starlet's latest video for "Who Owns My Heart?" is "sexualized."
"It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one," said Tim Winter, president of the parents group, in a statement over the weekend.
In the video the former "Hannah Montana" star, who turns 18 next month, is seen blindfolded and rolling around in a bed in her underwear. She then travels to a nightclub where she dances suggestively in skimpy attire.
"It sends messages to her fan base that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point," Winter said. "Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly."
Cyrus raised eyebrows in June with her Much Music Video Awards performance for her song "Can't Be Tamed." The teen performed in a skimpy white bodice and danced suggestively.
