Lohan to make plea deal on theft charge
Lindsay Lohan will plead no contest to misdemeanor theft Tuesday, but the troubled actress won't appear in court, TMZ.com reports. Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Holley, will appear before Judge Stephanie Sautner to enter the plea. As a result of Lohan pleading no contest, TMZ says, it's expected that she will be allowed to serve her 120-day jail sentence at home with electronic monitoring.
Reality series to show Bristol Palin's new life
The Bio Channel is giving Bristol Palin a 10-episode reality series, The Associated Press reports. The new series will follow Palin's move from Alaska to Los Angeles with her son, Tripp, to work at a small charity. The single mom will live with actor brothers Kyle and Christopher Massey. Kyle Massey was a fellow "Dancing With the Stars" contestant.
Vieira sets last day on 'Today'
Meredith Vieira confirmed Monday that June 8 will be her last day at "Today" after nearly five years, Newsday's Verne Gay reports. Her successor will be Ann Curry. "I love it here, but had personal issues that were weighing on me and felt I needed to examine them closely and make a decision based on them," Vieira said at a news conference. At the same gathering, Matt Lauer said he's remaining with "Today" although he confirmed he had talks with Katie Couric about her possible syndicated show, but that "her timetable is more accelerated than mine."
