A Hungarian anti-terrorist SWAT team Monday raided a Budapest warehouse storing production material for the upcoming Brad Pitt horror-drama "World War Z," confiscating 85 functional, mostly automatic military-style assault rifles.

"We can confirm that weapons were confiscated at an airport," Hungary Anti-Terrorism Unit director Hajdu Janos and deputy director Zsolt Bodnar told Us Weekly. "This morning a private plane brought guns wrapped in a parcel from a company to an individual" in the capital city. "Guns like these are highly illegal to transport even if they were to be used as stage guns, which hopefully they weren't."

Janos added, "We are interrogating witnesses now, getting closer to solving the firearms story."

The raid occurred two days after producer-star Pitt arrived at Franz Liszt Airport with his wife, Angelina Jolie, and their six children. Budapest is the latest in a string of European locales in which director Marc Forster ("Quantum of Solace") is shooting the zombie film based on the Max Brooks bestseller.

A spokesman for the film, which is scheduled for release Dec. 21, 2012, told Newsday, "We are working with the authorities to resolve the matter and have no further comment at this time."

The production, which has shot on Malta, throughout England and in Scotland, also stars Matthew Fox, David Morse, Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale and Elyes Gabel.
