Melanie Martinez, a 17-year-old singer from Baldwin, turned a lot of heads — and chairs — on “The Voice” last night, landing on Adam Levine's team.

Martinez, who also got to show off her photography, was impressive as she did a jazzy version of Britney Spears' “Toxic,” playing an acoustic guitar, as well as the tambourine with her feet.

“You're amazing,” Levine said, comparing her to Björk.

Blake Shelton saw the comparison as a chance to woo her to his team. “I was hearing a unique artist who doesn't sound like anyone else,” Shelton said. “I think you're a star.”

Cee Lo Green also tried to get Martinez on his team, praising her unusual interpretation of the song.

“I ultimately want to go with someone who will let me express my creativity and someone who will let me be me,” Martinez said, before picking Levine. Martinez's version of “Toxic” has already cracked iTunes' Top 100, as well as reaching the Top 10 on the iTunes alternative charts.

Martinez becomes the second Long Island teen to reach “The Voice”'s second round. Last week, 15-year-old MarissaAnn from Ronkonkoma sang Katy Perry's “Part of Me” to land a spot on Christina Aguilera's team. Unlike Martinez, though, MarissaAnn didn't get a full segment and her entire performance wasn't shown.
