Holiday concerts on Long Island: Brian Setzer, Kenny Rogers, more

On the first day of Christmas, Long Island gave to me . . . Brian Setzer Orchestra at Westbury! Nothing defines the Christmas season like live holiday concerts. Here are 18 shows to make you a bit more holly jolly:

NOV. 27: Brian Setzer Orchestra

This Long Island Music Hall of Famer from Massapequa returns home for his 13th annual “Christmas Rocks!” show, coming to NYCB Theatre at Westbury. (8 p.m., $49.50-$69.50, thetheatreatwestbury.com, 516-334-0800)

NOV. 30: Ralphie May

Sit down and listen as the “Last Comic Standing” finalist from Clarksville, Arkansas, tells tales about his childhood holiday memories growing up poor in his “White Trash Christmas Show” at NYCB Theatre at Westbury. (8 p.m., $29.50-$69.50)

DEC. 2: John Pizzarelli Quartet

DEC. 8: BLI’s “Home for the Holidays”

DEC. 10: Suzy Bogguss

DEC. 11: Darlene Love

Over the course of three decades, the award-winning soprano saxophone player, who is the biggest-selling instrumental musician with more than 75 million albums sold, brings his holiday show to NYCB Theatre at Westbury. (8 p.m., $49.50-$99.50)

DEC. 16: Rockabilly Christmas

DEC. 17: Felix Cavaliere

Listen as this Russian piccolo trumpet player fills the air with jazz-influenced holiday classics for an afternoon tea at Landmark on Main Street. (2 p.m., free)

DEC. 23: Kenny Rogers

The country legend brings his annual show, “The Gambler’s Last Deal Christmas & Hits” to NYCB Theatre at Westbury one more time. (8 p.m., $49.50-$124.50)

DEC. 29-30: O.A.R.

The jam band will play back-to-back performances from its “The XXmas Wish List Tour” at The Paramount in Huntington where the crowd gets to pick the set list on its website (liveOAR.com) before the show. (8 p.m., $29.50-$89.50)
