Miraj Healthy Grill
Miraj Healthy Grill brings something new to the Williston Park table: Persian cuisine.
In the restaurant's rose-hued front dining room, I enjoyed a crisp sambooseh, the fried half-moon turnover stuffed with a savory vegetable and chick pea filling. A long-stewed lamb shank was oh so tender, bathed in a sauce redolent of Middle Eastern spices. While the jujeh kebab (Cornish hen) was a trifle overcooked, kebab tikka (spicy grilled cubes of beef) came out gorgeously rare and juicy, seasoned with a bold hand. To finish: fine house-made baklava.
