Hempstead police and Nassau County police said they were investigating a fatal shooting in the village about 8 p.m. Saturday.

Police said one person was shot at 266 Washington St., but the victim’s name was not released

Nassau County homicide detectives said late Saturday that they were investigating the death.

No suspects had been identified, police said.
