Suffolk County police arrested a Mastic Beach man Wednesday suspected in pulling off four bank robberies in the past month.
Justin Curran, 40, of 55 Wavecrest Dr., has been charged with four counts of robbery for the bank heists, all in Suffolk County, major case investigations unit detectives said.
According to police, Curran robbed TD Bank branches on Jan. 21 and Feb. 7, a Chase Bank branch on Jan. 29, and a Hudson City Bank branch on Feb. 4.
In the most recent robbery, police said a man entered the TD Bank on Portion Road in Ronkonkoma on Feb. 7 at about 1:30 p.m. and demanded cash from a teller.
In a note to the teller, the man threatened violence if a demand for cash was not met, police said.
The man then left the bank and was last seen running westbound through the parking lot, police said.
Curran was held overnight Wednesday and was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.
