Police: Man stabbed outside Farmingville supermarket

A Medford man was stabbed during a fight Thursday outside a Stop & Shop supermarket on Horseblock Road near North Ocean Avenue in Farmingville, police said.
Around 7:45 a.m., Raymundo Lopez-Marquez and Hector Cruz-Reyes were fighting on Horseblock Road when Lopez-Marquez stabbed Cruz-Reyes in the arm and abdomen, police said.
Both men ran to the store's parking lot where police were called, authorities said. It was unclear who called the police.
Cruz-Reyes, 25, was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was in stable condition, police said.
Lopez-Marquez, 28, of Selden, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault. He was scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Central Islip.
