Chris Rodriguez hit a walk-off grand slam in the seventh inning as Plainedge (10-0) beat Bethpage, 7-3, Tuesday in Conference A-III baseball. Joey Schultheis' two-run double tied the score at 3 in the top of the seventh.

Calhoun 7, Bellmore JFK 6: Thomas Viverito's RBI triple tied it in the top of the seventh, and he scored the go-ahead run on Zach Goldstein's two-out single for Calhoun (8-0) in Conference AA-III. Mike Mugno came in with Calhoun trailing 6-1 and pitched 31/3 shutout innings, striking out six. He gave way in the seventh to Mike Grossane, who struck out two and forced a pop-up for the save.

Carle Place 8, East Rockaway 7: Stephen Laurino (2-for-3, four runs) hit a walk-off home run in the seventh for Carle Place (4-6) in Conference BC-II.

Patchogue-Medford 7, Brentwood 0: Dan D'Onofrio pitched a one-hitter, striking out eight and walking one, for Patchogue-Medford (5-2) in League I.

West Islip 4, East Islip 3: Rob Pescitelli's two-run triple in the bottom of the seventh led West Islip (5-2) in League III. The Lions trailed 3-0 to start the inning. Tyler Bell went 2-for-3 and Christian Stancavage threw a five-hitter.

St. John the Baptist 5, St. Anthony's 1: Brendan McKnight pitched a one-hitter with seven strikeouts and four walks for SJB (6-4) in CHSAA. McKnight lost the no-hitter on a one-out single in the fifth.

SOFTBALL

Sachem East 2, Northport 1: Cassie Asselta's bases-loaded walk gave Sachem East (7-2) a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning of a League I/II crossover. Asselta's single tied it at 1 in the fourth. Lindsey Treanor threw a one-hitter and struck out 15.

Centereach 3, Riverhead 2: Andi Caruso's two-out single in the bottom of the seventh scored Veronica Marino as Centereach (7-2) won a League III/League IV crossover.

North Babylon 4, Half Hollow Hills East 3: Alexis Rutha scored on a passed ball in the sixth inning to give North Babylon (3-6) a 4-2 lead in a League III/IV crossover. Leftfielder Kerri Devine threw a runner out at home to end the game.

Half Hollow Hills West 11, Newfield 0: Alyssa Bitsimis threw a two-hit shutout, striking out seven and walking one, for Hills West (8-1) in League IV. Bitsimis is riding a 28-inning scoreless streak.

Mattituck 6, Stony Brook 5: Melissa Siegfried doubled home Jackie Hinrichs with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh for Mattituck (3-5) in League VII. Hinrichs singled home the tying run with one out in the inning.

Center Moriches 4, Pierson-Bridgehampton 3: Leah Harkin's squeeze bunt scored Krystina Lauretta in the bottom of the eighth to win it for Center Moriches (6-3) in a League VII/VIII crossover. Stephanie Ratti hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to tie the score. Melanie Stafford struck out 14 for Pierson-Bridgehampton.

Oceanside 7, Herricks 6: Angela Giuliani's game-winning single drove home Jessica Panzarino in the bottom of the seventh as Oceanside (7-1) rallied from a 6-3 deficit entering the inning in Conference AA-II.

TRACK

Bay Shore 90, Smithtown East 50: Jessica Gelibert won the 100-meter hurdles in 14.3 seconds and the 400 hurdles (63.1) for Bay Shore (5-0) in League III. Both times are the fastest this season in Suffolk County, according to coach Steve Borbet, and the 14.3 in the 100 is also a school record. Deanna Carroll, who ran a 14.6 in 1981, previously held the record. Bay Shore's Essence Rogers took the 100 in 12.2.
