Marcus Thames will be placed on the 15-day DL after suffering a strained hamstring on Saturday, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman told Newsday.
Thames was injured in the Yankees' 9-3 win over Cleveland. An MRI was negative. Cashman said the Yankees were still mulling which player to call up to replace Thames on the roster.
