Call him Sir Sidney Ponson. Thanks to a career in baseball, the Aruba native - and one-time ace of the Baltimore Orioles - was knighted by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands in 2003.

Just nine months removed from the majors, the 33-year-old righthander won 91 games with a 5.03 ERA during his 12 seasons in the big leagues. Originally signed by Baltimore as a non-drafted free agent in 1993, Ponson played for seven teams, including two stints with the Yankees. He won a career-high 17 games in 2003 for the Orioles and Giants.

A career apparently worthy of knighthood in the Netherlands.
