Lindsay Lohan wants to write her memoirs, report says
Actress Lindsay Lohan, who's preparing to make her stage debut in London next month, says she'd like to write her memoirs.
"I've kept journals my whole life, since when I was a kid," Lohan said, assuring the British newspaper the Daily Mail that, "I would never write to violate someone else or objectify them; that's not my intention. I like to write because it's like therapy for me. I want to put a lot of photos and cool stuff; it will probably be, like, a trilogy."
Lohan, 28, who has gone through troubled years that included jail time, addiction issues and rehab, said she hoped her experiences could help inspire girls going through their own difficulties.
"I worked with a lot of girls in India [who] have gone through a lot of stuff," she said, referring to her meeting and talking to victims of sex trafficking in the 2010 BBC documentary "Lindsay Lohan's Indian Journey," "and a lot of kids who have gone through family issues or who get subjected to DUI . . . and then the pressure of just being better."
The "Mean Girls" star said she felt such a focus could be helpful since "there's the excitement of the life that I have lived, but I've seen a lot" and could reassure girls that "it's OK to screw up, it's OK to feel lonely, or ugly or to feel overweight or underweight. I've experienced all that," she said, adding that she was "bullied in school [because of] doing movies and going back to regular school. If I could help other kids with that . . . that's why I am doing the book."
