The school year's top teams on Long Island.

1. GARDEN CITY GIRLS LACROSSE

Earned the Spring Big 10 title for the second straight year. The Trojans, 21-0 and ranked second nationally, dominated at the state tournament -- again. Mikaela Rix and Catherine Dickinson each scored three goals and Kelly Weis made 10 saves in a 12-6 win over Brighton as Garden City won a record sixth straight Class B title.

2. LONGWOOD WRESTLING

The Lions won the Suffolk Division I tournament for the first time since 1997. Longwood dominated the tournament with 10 all-county wrestlers, including champions Nicky Hall (145 pounds) and Patrick Jennings (160). Longwood, which won the Winter Big 10 title, has not lost a dual meet since 2008, and has a current dual meet winning streak of 58.

3. ST. ANTHONY'S FOOTBALL

The Friars had another memorable season, beating Iona Prep, 43-21, to claim the school's ninth CHSFL championship in the past 10 years. They were the Big 10 Fall champions.

4. LI LUTHERAN BOYS BASKETBALL

It was another great season behind senior Achraf Yacoubou, voted Mr. Basketball in New York. The IPPSAL champ defeated St. Mary's to win the state Class A Federation title.

5. COLD SPRING HARBOR BOYS TENNIS

Jensen Reiter and Alex Tropiano defeated Smithtown East's Zain Ali and Eric Bertuglia, 6-4, 6-3, at first singles as the Seahawks won their fourth straight Long Island title.

6. MASSAPEQUA GIRLS SOCCER

The Chiefs won the school's first state title since 2005. Midfielder Amanda Reverberi was the MVP of the state Class AA tournament after a 2-0 win over Webster Thomas in the final. The Chiefs were ranked sixth in the country by the National Coaches Association of America.

7. BRENTWOOD BOYS SOCCER

The Indians won the state Class AA title for the second time in three years. Johnathan Interiano scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Scarsdale for the state crown.

8. EAST ISLIP BOYS BOWLING

The Suffolk County champion Redmen placed fourth in the state tournament after an undefeated league season. All five East Islip starters, led by Bobby Martin's 223, finished in the top 12 for high average in Suffolk.

9. CHAMINADE BOYS GOLF

The Flyers have won 56 straight CHSAA matches the past four years. John Reali and Mike Hanley shot par 35s to clinch the team's fourth straight league title with a win over St. Anthony's.

10. EAST ISLIP GIRLS BOWLING

The Redmen captured their first Suffolk title since 2008 with a record 6,428 pinfall in counties, and also finished third in the state tournament. The team was led by Lena Sorrentino (209.7), Tara Ernst (204.4) and Nancy Baione (200.2).
