North Shore Farms plans to officially open its fifth location on Long Island Thursday.

One of John Coltrane's saxophones is headed to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
Coltrane's son, jazz artist Ravi Coltrane, donated one of his father's three principal saxophones to the museum. The Selmer Mark VI tenor sax was made in Paris around 1965, according to the museum.
Coltrane's epic "A Love Supreme" album was released the same year.

Long Island Cares - The Harry Chapin Food Bank has launched a pet food drive through the region's state legislators.
The 3rd annual Legislative Food Drive is an initiative Long Island Cares started in 2012 to restock the warehouse shelves during the winter and spring, when it said donations are typically scarce.
